Do you have to pay for 18+ Oyster?
Schools, colleges and universities must register on the TfL Scheme so their students can apply for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard. The registration fee is £25 (non-refundable).
How much is a bus fare on Oyster?

London buses are all cashless, so you need an Oyster card, Travelcard or contactless payment card to ride. Bus fare is £1.65, and a day of bus-only travel will cost a maximum of £4.95. You can transfer to other buses or trams for free an unlimited number of times within one hour of touching in for your first journey.
How does the 18+ Oyster card work?
The student version of the Oyster card is called an 18+ Student Oyster photocard. It resembles the usual card, but includes a photo for identification purposes, and entitles the holder to 30% off adult-rate travel cards and season tickets that last various periods of time.

Your 18+ Student Oyster photocard will be sent to the address you provide and should arrive within five to seven days after approval from King’s. Please note that when applying you will need: A colour, digital photo.
Is TFL free for under 16?
Children aged 13 and under will be able to board any London bus or tram and travel for free. They do not need any sort of pass or ticket (apart from tram journeys to or from Wimbledon station). 14- and 15-year-olds need a Child Oyster photocard to prove their age and record their journey when they board.
