Is Valley faucets still in business?

This is a discontinued brand/manufacturer called Valley. My faucet handle broke and I saw your picture while I was researching for a replacement.

Where is the shower cartridge located?

The cartridge is behind the handle, but the fasteners holding the handle are seldom in plain view. If you can’t find a cap hiding a retaining screw, look for an Allen nut in an inconspicuous place, such as under the lever. Once you find the fastener and remove it, the rest is easy.

How do you fix a single handle shower faucet?

Phillips-Head screwdriver

  • Slotted screwdriver
  • Wrench (Some shower faucets require a specialized tool,a cartridge puller,to remove the cartridge. Read your manufacturer’s manual for more information.)
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Hex key (Sometimes called an Allen key,this tool is needed to remove some faucet handles.)
  • How to remove a single handle bath-shower faucet?

    – Begin by using a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the handle’s plastic cover (also called the plastic insert or index). – Unscrew the handle screw with a flathead or Phillips-head screwdriver as needed. – Wiggle the handle and pull it off. You may need a faucet handle puller if the handle will not come off by hand. – Place a socket wrench over the bathtub faucet stem until it covers the hex nut. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to loosen the nut until you can pull the stem free. – Repeat the steps if you have a two-handle system.

    How do I remove a stuck shower faucet handle?

    Unscrew the handle to open the jaws.

  • Hook the jaws behind the faucet handle,insert the threaded rod through the hole for the set screw and tighten the handle by turning it clockwise.
  • Keep turning the handle clockwise. As the rod presses against the valve stem,the jaws will force the handle off.
  • How to install a single lever shower faucet?

    To put in a new shower valve,you’ll first need to remove the old one from inside your shower.

  • To gain access,cut out a section of drywall approximately a foot square on the other side of the wall from your shower valve.
  • To locate the valve,drill a pilot hole or two from the bathroom side next to the valve with a long bit.
