Does DistroKid have publishing royalties?

DistroKid does not collect any publishing royalties, which are generated by compositions. A composition refers to the lyrics and notes of a song. Recording royalties encompass those generated from reproduction rights, synchronization rights, and performance rights.

Does DistroKid give you 100% royalties?

DistroKid does not take a percentage of your earnings. You keep 100% of your earnings, however, there may be banking fees, taxes, and PayPal transfer fees when you withdraw your money.

Distrokid and other similar services are only for distribution and collect mechanical royalties for digital streams and sales.

Between DistroKid and UnitedMasters, DistroKid is better because their membership fees are less and they do not take a share of your royalty money. UnitedMasters does have a “free” option; however, they take 10% of your streaming money and give you very limited features.
