If Hycosan Night is applied during the day vision will be impaired because of the greasy consistency of the eye ointment. You should not drive a vehicle, be near traffic, use machines or work in an unsecure environment during this time. Hycosan Night must not be used while wearing contact lenses.
How often can I use Hycosan?
Generally you instil one drop of HYCOSAN® EXTRA three times a day into each eye. If necessary it can also be used more frequently. If you use HYCOSAN® EXTRA more frequently (e. g. more than 10 times per day) please consult your eye specialist.
Can you use eye ointment every night?
Ointments are usually used 1 to 2 times daily as needed. If using an ointment once a day, it may be best to use it at bedtime. To apply eye ointment/drops/gels: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or top of the ointment tube or let it touch your eye.
How long does Xailin gel last?
Discard the contents 28 days after first opening. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
How many times a day should I use chloramphenicol?
Adults (including elderly people) and children aged 2 years and over: If using just the eye ointment, apply about 1 cm of ointment to the affected eye(s) 3 to 4 times a day. If using chloramphenicol eye drops during the day and the eye ointment at night – apply the ointment at night, before going to bed.

Hycosan Dual contains 0.05% Sodium Hyaluronate and 2% Ectoin, it is preservative free, sterile for 6 months once opened and is safe to use whilst wearing contact lenses.
