How do I get the best results from Mystic Tan?
For best results, exfoliate before your session and focus on the driest areas — elbows, knees, hands, feet and the backs of your ankles. PBT offers a wide array of exfoliating products like this pre-session exfoliant. Try to avoid waxing or other spa treatments the day of your spray tan.
What shade of tan should I get?
If you have pale or fair skin, and/or just want a subtle glow, then choose our LIGHT shade. If you have a medium skin tone, or are fair and want to look noticeably darker, choose our DARK shade. If your skin is naturally tan, and/or you want a very dark bronze color, chose our ULTRA DARK shade.
Is versa spray tan better than Mystic?
If you are starting off with very fair skin, go for the Versa which has a reddish violet undertone to prevent the horrid orange Oompa Loompa look during the fade. The one advantage Mystic has is the built in heater which opens up the pores allowing for better absorption.
Can you put lotion on before a Mystic Tan?
Yes, you should definitively moisturize before getting a spray tan—but not too close to your appointment! Lotions, creams, perfumes, and even deodorants can affect how your tan adheres to your skin.
Why does my fake tan look yellow?
A Sunless Tan Mimics a UV tan, but is not a perfect match: A sunless tan can be a bit more “golden” or “bronze”- so it may look a bit more “yellow” if you normally UV tanned more red brown of Coffee toned. It IS a tan color, it just may not be YOUR natural UV tanned color. So it may seem off to you.
