Abel Tasman By far the easiest of all the Great Walks is the Abel Tasman Track.

The Tiki Trail is 2.1 kilometers (1.3 miles) each way with a 450-meter (1,476 feet) elevation gain. Where does the Tiki Trail start? The Tiki Trail starts from the bottom of the gondola on Brecon Street in Queenstown.

Can you do Luge without Gondola?

No. The Luge tracks will not take you down to the Gondola base. You will complete all Luge rides at the end of the Luge track which is at the Skyline complex. Once all Luge rides and other activities are completed, you can then take the Gondola back down to the base.

Can I walk Milford Track without a guide?

Independent (or ‘freedom’) walkers will hike the Milford Track without a guide and will need to book well in advance, prepare adequately and carry their own gear for the duration of the hike.

Can you do a day walk on the Milford Track?

Experience the Milford Track—New Zealand’s most famous hiking track—independently and at your own pace. A short boat journey between Milford Sound and Sandfly Point will have you on the Milford Track for a spectacular day walk experience.

Can you walk to the top of the Gondola?

The full track between the Gondola and Lyttelton takes around 90 minutes with parking on the Gondola side. You can also choose to walk up or down one half of the path and catch the Gondola the other way (an especially good option for tired little legs!)
