What lies beyond the solar system?
Exoplanets are planets beyond our own solar system. Thousands have been discovered in the past two decades, mostly with NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope. These worlds come in a huge variety of sizes and orbits. Some are gigantic planets hugging close to their parent stars; others are icy, some rocky.
What lies beyond the outer planets?
the Kuiper Belt
Known as the Kuiper Belt, it comprises Pluto, Eris, Sedna, and Haumea; probably 100,000 other “ice dwarf” worlds; and several billion comets. Caltech astronomer Michael Brown has helped categorize the Kuiper Belt through his discoveries of several of the largest objects in this third zone.
What is at the end of the solar system?
If you measure by edge of the Sun’s magnetic fields, the end is the heliosphere. If you judge by the stopping point of Sun’s gravitational influence, the solar system would end at the Oort Cloud.
What is beyond the planet Earth?
Beyond Planet Earth is a leading international exhibition, which arrived at MadaTech after presenting at one of the most respected museums in the world: Museum of Natural History in New York.
What is beyond our galaxy?
To us the Earth seems big, but the Earth is only a very small part of the Solar System. And our Solar System is a very small part of the Milky Way Galaxy. And our galaxy is only a very small part of the whole Universe….The Milky Way Galaxy.

What’s at the end of space?
Scientists now consider it unlikely the universe has an end – a region where the galaxies stop or where there would be a barrier of some kind marking the end of space. But nobody knows for sure.
What is beyond the edge of our solar system?
It’s not easy attempting to measure distance in space, but astronomers have been able to determine that beyond Neptune lies a ring of icy objects left over from the formation of the Solar System, known as the Kuiper Belt. The region extends between 30 and 50 AU (where 1 AU is the distance between Earth and the Sun).
Are there planets in other galaxies?
Astronomers spotted what they believe may be the first known planet in another galaxy. More than 4,800 planets have been discovered orbiting stars other than our sun. But until now, all of them have been inside our Milky Way galaxy. The potential new world orbits two stars in the Whirlpool galaxy.

What is the biggest thing bigger than the universe?
The biggest single entity that scientists have identified in the universe is a supercluster of galaxies called the Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall. It’s so wide that light takes about 10 billion years to move across the entire structure.
What’s beyond the Kuiper Belt?
Although Pluto is currently the largest known KBO, there is at least one known larger object currently outside the Kuiper belt that probably originated in it: Neptune’s moon Triton (which, as explained above, is probably a captured KBO). It is not clear how many KBOs are large enough to be dwarf planets.
