What years did KTM make the 200?

The 200 was introduced in 1997. It came in EXC and MXC versions. KTM tried to grow the 200cc enduro market and added an SX version at one point, and an EXC GS version as well, although not all versions came here. Almost 20 years later, the 2016 model is a whole different machine.

What year did KTM EXC go fuel Injected?

2012
For 2012, new features include EFI Fuel-injection, a diaphragm spring clutch and a lighter battery. The XC(W) and XC(F) models both have a plug on the right side of the engine case where a kick start lever can be added.

How long will a ktm engine last?

You can expect 50000kms. In case of 690 Duke, technically there is difference in engines as 690 have claw shifted transmission, hydraulically operated clutch and different lubrication type; you can expect the same.

Are ktm engines reliable?

KTM engines are reliable as much, if not better. However, the major reason for KTM Duke 390 engine issues are excessive heat and poor dissipation methods used. I’ve seen very less engine issues on Duke 200, which is unbelievable.

When did the KTM 200 EXC dirt bike come out?

Back in 2000, KTM launched their all-new 200 EXC, a two-stroke dirt bike that soon became beloved (especially in Europe) thanks to the 45 horses developed by the 193 cc motor and the only 222.7 pounds that needed to be carried around (rider excluded, of course).

When did the Suzuki 200 XC replace the 200 EXC?

By the time the 200 EXC was replaced by the 200 XC (2008) – before the name change, better said – we could talk of a highly advanced trail two-stroke machine that shared everything with the 2009 model year, unless the previous mentioned upgrades.

What is the top speed of a Suzuki 200 XC?

That is mostly due to the powerful engine sound, but it’s good to know that there’s plenty where that came from. Because the engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, the 200 XC will offer a top speed (approximately 100 mph) comparable to that of the 250 or even 300 XC, bikes which are fitted with the same five-speed unit.

Why are KTM bikes so good?

Because it’s the little things that make such a bike better, KTM worked to improve handling while also reducing overall weight without changing much in what the engine is concerned.
