Are labs online UBC?

UBC has implemented technology that provides faculty, staff and students with remote access to public workstations and specific labs pre-configured with computer software required for course work.

Are tutorials mandatory UBC?

If a course has a tutorial section, you must register for the tutorial in addition to the lecture. In some cases, grades are given for attendance and active participation.

What is a seminar course UBC?

Blocked course: If a class is ‘blocked’ it means that seats in the class are currently not available. If the course has a waitlist section, register yourself in it. Also, check the SSC frequently for open seats. Sometimes you will see a course is blocked but has seats still available.

As part of the Order, all UBC faculty, staff or student employees who work in health care settings must have received at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by November 15, 2021 in order to continue to work at that site. This includes hospital sites, clinics, and any other place where care is provided.

Failed Standing remains on record and may affect future academic standing. If student has a previous Failed standing, the requirement is to withdraw from UBC.
