What is PATA kunitha?

Pata Kunitha is a prominent dance form in the Mysore region. It is predominantly a devotional dance done by men who use long bamboo poles, known as pata, that are decked with colourful ribbons. It is a visual spectacle thanks to its vibrant exuberance, and it is immensely popular among people of all faiths.
