Located inside of Understone Keep in Markarth, it is the home to Nimhe, a giant Frostbite Spider. This excavation site also contains Alethius’s Notes in Nimhe’s lair, which begins the quest “The Lost Expedition.”
Does Nimhe Respawn?
Bugs. PC 360 PS3 Despite being a unique frostbite spider, Nimhe will respawn after an extended period of time. 360 Frequently when you fast travel to the Markarth Stables, it will be there, making a strange noise, but not attacking until threatened. Very rarely she will spawn outside of the excavation site.

Go to Markarth and talk to Bradan. Talk to Ard Caddach in Understone Keep. Enter Nchuand-Zel and speak to Arana. Take the keystone.

Who replaces Belethor?

Does Spider Control Rod work on all spiders?
It only works on Aicantar’s Spider. Other spiders won’t even care. The Spider Control Rod shoots a beam of energy which Aicantar’s Spider walks towards. As the spider cannot be interacted with aside from the use of the Spider Control Rod, it does not seem possible for the spider to move outside of the laboratory area.
