Do you need a reservation for the Met?
Members will be required to make timed same-day reservations in-person at any Member desk. How many tickets do I need to get into The Met? One ticket per person is needed for admission to the Museum. You can either buy a General Admission ticket or make a reservation for entry prior to your visit.

On the day you visit, go to a Met ticket desk and present a valid ID. No advance registration is required.

We do not currently offer a free day or night. The Met does participate in the annual Museum Mile Festival, usually held in June, held in June, and offers free evening admission along with other museums on Fifth Avenue.
How long is date night at the Met?
They invite you to bring your special someone, a friend, or come solo for an unforgettable night at one of the most enchanting and iconic establishments in the city. The evening will go from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., for three magical hours of live music, drinks and sweeping gallery exhibits.
Is MoMA or met better?
MoMA is smaller in size and takes around three hours to explore fully. On the other hand, the Met Museum is much larger and can keep you engaged for more than five hours. If you are short on time but want the satisfaction of having visited a Museum in New York, we suggest you opt for MoMA.
