What is veneer plywood used for?
Veneered plywood panels are mostly used on doors, panels for cabinets, parquet floors and different parts of furniture. We have a variety of veneered plywood panels to choose from.
How thick should veneers be?
Usually, the common thick veneer can be 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm. And the most popular thick wood species are Oak, Walnut, Sapele, Teak, Cherry, Maple, and Bamboo. Instead of natural wood, you can choose engineered wood for any thickness. If the thickness is less than 2mm wood veneer, they are sliced cut.
Is maple plywood a solid maple?
As with other hardwood plywood, Maple plywood is generally maple veneered on both faces, with a lesser expensive hardwood core. One face is considered the “good” face, intended for visible use. The other face will be a lower grade, and is left to be the interior of cabinets and doors.

Why are my veneers so thick?
Some veneers appear and feel too thick. This is either because the dentist did not remove enough tooth structure, or the lab made the veneers too large (over bulked). This happens a lot with a few brands of veneers claiming you can have very minimal or no prep at all done.
Does maple plywood stain well?
Maple is a very nice wood to stain (I’ve stained plywood too) and the water-based stains turned out nicely.

Maple Plywood comes in 4′ x 8′ Sheets available in 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch thickness. The sapwood color ranges from nearly white, to an off-white cream color, sometimes with a reddish or golden hue. The heartwood tends to be a darker reddish brown.
