What is Seroxat used for?

Seroxat is a treatment for adults with depression and/or anxiety disorders.

What is paroxetine CR used for?

PAROXETINE (pa ROX e teen) is used to treat depression. It may also be used to treat anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, post traumatic stress, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

What are side effects of Seroxat?

Dizziness, sensory disturbances (including paraesthesia, electric shock sensations and tinnitus), sleep disturbances (including intense dreams), agitation or anxiety, nausea, tremor, confusion, sweating, headache, diarrhoea, palpitations, emotional instability, irritability, and visual disturbances have been reported.

How fast does Seroxat work?

It can take a week or two after starting the treatment before the effect begins to build up, and 4-6 weeks before you feel the full benefit. Do not stop taking it after a week or two, feeling it is not helping. Try to keep your regular appointments with your doctor.

Can I take Seroxat at night?

The capsules are usually taken once a day at bedtime with or without food. You may want to take paroxetine with food to prevent stomach upset. Take paroxetine at around the same time every day.
