Why do RC Helicopters shake?

anything loose will cause a wobble. if the tail boom is not secured it will wobble as well. From the relatively low frequency of the shake it looks like a bent main shaft or feathering shaft, or the blades badly out of balance or far too tight in the grips.

How do helicopters stay balanced?

A helicopter remains stationary by balancing the external forces. There are no horizontal forces, as the helicopter is not moving left or right, so there is no drag or horizontal thrust. The blades generate a vertical lift, and when this is exactly balanced with the force of gravity, the helicopter remains stationary.

What does flybar do in a helicopter?

Longer blades provide less operating clearance. Longer blades not only stall before shorter blades (retreating), but also hit the Critical Mach number at lower air speeds (advancing).

Blades are supposed to be measured from the root HOLE out to the farthest point where the chord is still complete – that is, you don’t measure the little triangle part on the end.

What is helicopter ground resonance?

Ground resonance is an imbalance in the rotation of a helicopter rotor when the blades become bunched up on one side of their rotational plane and cause an oscillation in phase with the frequency of the rocking of the helicopter on its landing gear.
