What does Sutro measure?
The Sutro Smart Water Monitor measures your pool or spa’s water chemistry and tells you what chemicals are needed to make it safe for swimming.
How did the Sutro Baths work?
Swimmers had to wear swim suits supplied by the Baths up until the 1930’s. Sutro designed a series of concrete tunnels and tanks that used the force of the tides to fill the pools. The Baths were extremely popular, but it was never profitable, and as the years went by, they became increasing expensive to maintain.
How accurate is Sutro?
Residential test kits are normally accurate within ±0.2 ppm Cl2 when using the FAS-DPD method and can measure higher than 5 ppm Cl2. Basic DPD drop test kits measure within ±0.5 ppm Cl2 and up to 5 ppm Cl2 and test strips can measure to within ±1 color comparator block.

Why is my chlorine test purple?
