Can I use cleaning chemicals? When mopping with a VILEDA mop, you can use any cleaning solution of your choice, but if you prefer to keep harsh cleaning chemicals out of your home, simply use tap water. That’s all you need to get the job done!

How often should you replace your mop?
every two to three months
Aim for a replacement every two to three months or sooner if it looks very dirty. Your floors are only as clean as your mop head; a soiled and worn mop will not be effective.

How often do I need to change my microfibre mop head refill? We recommend changing your mop head refill every 3 months, however this also depends on your cleaning routine/how often you mop. Can I use washing up liquid to mop floor?
Hardwood floors To clean wooden floors effectively, you should sweep or vacuum the surface before mopping the floors with a cleanser specifically designed for wooden floors. Washing up liquid is not ideal for this task and can leave behind a film on the flooring.
How do you wring a microfiber mop?
You can also just hold the pad under the sink and wet it with warm water. When the microfiber mop is saturated roll it up and wring it out by hand.

Mop water is full of germs and dirt, so the worst thing you can do is to dispose of it in a place where you’re apt to drop a toothbrush. Dump it into a toilet or down your shower drain instead. Leave the air conditioning on if you’re mopping.
