What is chemical injection quill?

Chemical injection quill is a mechanical device used in the chemical injection process used across many industries. It is an interface equipment between the chemical feed line and the process pipeline.

What is a sample Quill?

Sample and Injection Quills are generally constructed from an alloy such as 316/316L stainless steel. Materials to manufacture quills include bar stock, ASME pipe, flanges and fittings. Quill assemblies are manufactured to include valves and other process piping components.

What is retractable injection quill?

Retractable injection quills allow for the quill to be retracted and inserted without having to perform a complete process depressurization. This proves an invaluable feature for operators dealing with chemicals that are prone to clogging such as sodium hypochlorite, ammonia, and polymer.

What is injection valve?

Injection valves are mounted at the point of injection to connect the metering line. They protect against backflow and generate a defined back pressure. They are equipped with a check ball and a Hastelloy C spring (priming pressure approx. 0.5 bar). They may be fitted in any position.

What is injection point in piping?

Injection Points are designated places where operators can inject chemicals into a process stream to prevent or mitigate corrosion or cracking. Different types of injectors include branch connections, quills, spargers, and spray nozzles, any of which may be used in parallel.

How do you size an injection quill?

3” injection length quills are suitable for 4”-6” pipe diameters. Pipe sizes smaller than 4”, the quill can be trimmed so that the injection quill is in the centerline of the process pipe. 5” injection length quills are suitable for 8”-10” pipe diameters.

What is injection lance?

Injection lances (or fittings) are generally used in dosing systems and are used to inject chemicals into main pipeline streams. Sample lances are used to extract samples for quality monitoring. Prochem manufactures a wide range of both withdrawable and fixed lances.

What are injector nozzles?

Injector nozzles interact with Pistons in Combustion Chambers. When the Piston is drawn away from the Sparkplug, the Injector Nozzle sprays a fuel and air mixture into the Combustion Chamber. Injector Nozzles can be thought of as the “heart” of the engine.

What is CML in piping?

Condition Monitoring Locations (CMLs) are designated locations on pressure vessels and piping where thickness monitoring is conducted to monitor the presence and rate of damage and corrosion.

What is mix point?

Mix Points: Mix points or Mixing Points are points of joining of process streams of differing composition and/or temperature where additional design attention, operating limits, and/or process monitoring are utilized to avoid damage mechanisms (e.g., corrosion).

How does injection valve work?

The purpose of injection valves is to precisely inject the fuel quantity calculated by the control unit in all engine operating states. To ensure the fuel is atomised effectively while minimising condensation losses, a certain engine-specific distance and injection angle need to be observed.

How many types of engine nozzle are there?

Types of Nozzle in IC Engine : Pintle Nozzle, Single Hole Nozzle, Multihole Nozzle, Pintaux Nozzle.

What is TML and CML?

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) are two types of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affect the cells that normally produce white blood cells. They differ in how the condition develops and worsens, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment.

What is TML inspection?

A thickness measurement location (TML), is a special kind of information item that identifies the location on a pipeline that requires inspection on a regular basis.

What is injection point?

Injection Points are designated places where operators can inject chemicals into a process stream to prevent or mitigate corrosion or cracking.

What is difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing is the stage after recording where you blend individual tracks together, while mastering is the the final stage of audio production where you polish the entire mix to prepare for distribution. Mixing is when an engineer carves and balances the separate tracks in a session to sound good when played together.

What is loop injector?

In HPLC, whether the injection is manual or automatic, the injection is performed with an injection loop that must be filled and then injected into the system. The volume of the injection loop plays a major role in the volume of sample injected. On a general basis, injection loops vary from 1 to 100 µL.

What is injector valve?

In short, injectors are solenoid operated valves that use Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signals from the Engine Control Unit to open or close a valve that permits or blocks fuel flow to the engine. A well designed fuel injector ensures quick and complete combustion of fuel.

What is an injection Quill?

The injection quill is a precision-engineered mechanical device. As this device is widely used in the chemical injection process it is popularly known as chemical injection quills. Various chemical industries use injection quills to provide an effective and safe means of injecting liquid chemicals into a vessel or pipeline system.

What pressure can chemical injection Quills be used to?

For example, Boiler Chemicals require an injection quill to disperse the chemical directly into the water stream or into the center of a feed water tank or deaerator. For more inform information, download the product bulletin. What pressure can Chemical Injection Quills be used to? Stainless Steel and Carpenter 20-Cb3 can be used to 3,000 psi.

What materials are injection quills made of?

The body and stinger are both constructed of chemical resistant plastics or alloys (PVC, Kynar, 316 SS, or Hastelloy C-276). Injection quills with 3” to 8” long stingers are available from stock. All injection quills come with female by male NPT connections for ease of installation.

What are the components of a chemical injection molding system?

A compact integrated assembly consisting of the chemical injection quill, probe, double block & bleed assembly, and an integral non-return check valve is always beneficial. Injection quills can be used as sampling quills by redesigning the probe and removing the integral check valve to safely take out fluid samples from the process line.
