What are the rules for Acey Deucey in poker?

“Acey-Deucey” (ace, 2) is the best combination, and a player tends to bet the whole pot, if they can. This is because the only way an ace-deuce combination can lose is if the third card turned up is also an ace or a deuce.

Does scat have to be the same suit?

A turn-based, draw-and-discard game, the object of Scat is to combine same-suit card values to achieve a hand total nearest to 31; the highest possible scoring hand. You’ll need an Ace and a pair of 10-point cards, all of the same suit, to do it.

Is ace high or low in in between?

Shuffle the deck thoroughly. Deal two cards facing up to the player on the dealer’s left. The player now has to decide if the next card will have a value that’s in-between the two cards. An ace card has the smallest value (1) and a king has the largest (13).

Is ace high or low in acey-deucey?

If the first card turned is an Ace the player may choose its value as either the high Ace or the low one. Low Ace is always lower than any other card, including the deuce. If an Ace comes up as the second card turned it is always considered the high Ace.

Can you go over 31 in scat?

A player who is dealt 31 in their original three cards declares it – there is no play and all the other players lose a life. If it happens that two or more players get 31 on the initial deal then all the players other than those with 31 lose.

When should you bet between?

IN BET IN BETWEEN: Player wins if the Dealer’s upcard falls between the Player’s initial two dealt cards (according to the rank order from low to high 2-A) and will lose if the Dealer’s upcard falls outside the rank order.

Do you roll again after doubles in acey-deucey?

After rolling and playing doubles or acey-deucey, the player must roll and move again. A roll of acey-deucey counts as a 1-2, and as doubles of the player’s choice. Upon reaching one’s own home board, also called the ‘finishing quarter’, a man may not be moved again until all the rest have arrived.
