What is a low density wig?
A low density wig has less hair and little to no permatease (manufactured teasing to provide volume) that’s found in most wigs. For those with thin or fine hair, a wig with permatease can feel like an overwhelming amount of hair. Lighter density wigs can provide a more realistic, natural look.
How do you maintain synthetic hair?
Maintenance of synthetic hair
- It can be worn with little or no styling.
- Do not comb the synthetic wig when it is wet.
- Use products which are specifically made to suit the synthetic wig.
- Use a synthetic hair comb and not a regular brush.
- Be gentle with the hairpiece.
- Just pat with a dry towel to dry incase it gets wet.
What is a three quarter wig?
A 3/4 cap wig covers the majority of the head except the front hairline, where you incorporate your own hair for a natural look. A 3/4 wig attaches easily to your own hair with a series of flex combs.
What is the best density wig to get?
The most commonly chosen density is around 120%, which is considered medium to thick, and more closely mimics the density of the average human head.
How do I know what size wig I am?
To determine the right size wig for you, measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline.
How do you know if a wig is too small?
Here are some signs your wig is too small. If the wig slides back on your head and reveals your scalp or hairline, it’s too small. If the wig has a lace front, check it out. If it’s rolling under instead of lying flat, you need a bigger wig.
How do you measure your head for a wig?
1) Starting at the center of your forehead, pull the tape measure back behind one ear until it reaches the nape of your neck. 2) Pull it around the nape of your neck over your other ear. 3) Bring the ends of tape measure to meet in the center of your hairline at forehead. 4) Record measurement.
Can you use regular shampoo on wigs?
Use only hair products that are specifically designed for synthetic wigs. Do not use regular human hair shampoo, conditioner, hair spray or gels on your wig as they will cause build up on the wig, shortening its life span and dulling the hair fibers.

What is a monofilament wig?
Mono top: The middle-front top of the wig has a mono top (monofilament), which gives that area a scalp-like appearance. The hair can be parted any way you want in this section.
What do the tabs on the Mega mono wig do?
Tighteners: The tighteners/adjustable tabs are used to tighten or loosen the wig. Here’s a pic of the Mega Mono before I cut the lace–just to give you an idea of how it looks right out of the box. If you look closely you can see the lace right below where my part is.
What are ear tabs on wigs for?
Ear tabs are meant to help keep the wig in place. Inside are wire/bendy things/something that you can adjust by pushing on this area to help “mold” the wig closely to your head. I think these are beneficial especially if you don’t have any bio hair.
