Is a brute a good snowblower?
Awesome machine This is one of the best snow throwers I’ve ever owned. I’ve had Sears, Toro’s, etc. The BRUTE is just that…a brutal powerful snowthrower that starts on the first of a slight pull manually or with the nice electric start.

Should choke be open or closed when starting snowblower?
If your snow blower is cold, you’ll want to pull out or turn on the choke while you’re starting it. This closes off the air supply to your carburetor, which makes for a much richer fuel mixture. If your snow blower is stored in a heated garage and is warm enough, you should not use the choke.

What happens if you leave gas in a snowblower?
Although the engine stalls, some fuel lingers then evaporates leaving bad stuff behind — especially if the gasoline contains ethanol. The only thing worse is leaving old gasoline in the machine. It will create gum and varnish. The carburetor will most likely have to be disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt.
