How do you complete the Freedom Trail?

You need to spell out the word “railroad” by highlighting the appropriate letter, then pushing the button after each letter. When the door opens, proceed in to meet the Railroad.

The Freedom Trail is very easy to follow even without a map, as it’s clearly marked with a painted red line. However, The Freedom Trail Foundation offers educational and entertaining daily tours, with a variety of themes, starting at both ends of the Trail.
Can you do the Freedom Trail in one day?
The Freedom Trail is 2.5 miles (4 km) long and to walk it will likely take you an entire day. Plan on it taking longer if you have children or want to spend more time at any of the sites.
