#1 Don’t pack undeveloped film in your checked baggage. Low energy X-ray will not cause noticeable damage to films under ISO800 such as Fujifilm Instax mini, Instax wide, Polaroid Originals 600 (ISO640) and SX-70 (ISO160) films.

What is the latest model of instax?
Instax Mini 11
Fujifilm’s Instax cameras are among the best-selling in the world and the company has now revealed its latest model, the Instax Mini 11, as the successor to the popular Instax Mini 9 (the ‘Mini 10’ name has already used by an old 1998 model and has therefore been skipped in the current range).
Does Instax film fade over time?
Yes, Instax photos can fade if they aren’t stored properly. I tend to keep mine inside an album or a box. Putting them on display or leaving them out in the sun can cause the colours to fade over time. It is also best to keep the prints away from heat and humidity.
Can I bring my Polaroid on a plane?
Don’t sweat it. Exposed film is totally fine through an X-ray, so you can pop it in either carry-on or checked luggage when you travel. Getting ready to fly? Stock up on Polaroid instant film before you travel.
Can you use expired instax film?
Polaroid and Fujifilm Instax both suggest that their instant films should be used one year after the expiration or production date printed on the box. I don’t recommend using expired instant film because the chemicals inside can become unusable for images, unless you want some very abstract images.
How long will Instax photos last?
The recommended time frame is up to 30 days. This is to allow the chemical processes to halt so you won’t damage it further by touching the photo. When you do handle to the photos, make sure you are cautious about where you hold them.
