Are Audeze LCD x worth it?
If you’re in the market for this type of headphone, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s a buttery smooth listen, with near-perfect bass response, mid-range, and treble.
Does the LCD X have Fazor?
To the best of our knowledge, all LCD-Xs and LCD-XCs should have Fazors installed, since those headphones were launched at the beginning of Fazor production in January 2014.
How do you use Audeze reveal?
Setting up Reveal in Logic
- Select an empty plugin slot, then locate the Reveal plugin under Audio Units>Audeze>Reveal>Stereo in the dropdown menu:
- Once the plugin has been activated, the Graphic User Interface (GUI) should automatically open, allowing you to select the appropriate preset for your Audeze headphone.
What are planar drivers?
A planar magnetic driver or transducer (the device that converts the electrical signal to sound waves) functions differently from dynamic drivers in that it uses a flat diaphragm rather than a typical cone or dome shaped membrane that you might find in common loudspeakers.
What is Fazor Audeze?
Audeze has developed a patented technology to combat this interference, which we call the “Fazor™”. Think of Fazors like guides for sound, maneuvering the sound waves out of the drivers in an even and smooth way without interfering with each other.
How do I find my Audeze serial number?
The Serial Number is also on the barcode sticker on the cardboard box, the Certificate Of Authenticity that came with the headphones, and also on the headphones themselves…
Do planar headphones need an amp?
Easily Driven By Amplifiers Planar magnetic headphones may require amplifiers to boost the voltage and current of the audio signal to achieve appropriate listening levels. However, these amplifiers will have an easy time driving the planar magnetic drivers. Headphone impedance is a deep and complex top.
What do Fazors do?
Each Fazor element is placed just outside the magnets that drive the diaphragm, allowing the sound waves out in a more even and parallel direction, reducing interference and diffraction, or scattering of sound waves.
Is Audeze warranty transferable?
As long as product was originally purchased from an authorized dealer, the warranty is transferable and is valid from the original date of purchase.
Do Planars sound better?
Results: Typical planar magnetic drivers have slightly better soundstage. The drivers are usually larger, and the entire diaphragm moves to create a planar sound wavefront instead of the focused spherical wavefront that’s common for dynamic drivers.
Do planar headphones need burn in?
No, headphones do not require a period of “burn-in” time. Although it’s true that headphone drivers and housings will lose rigidity over time, this loss of rigidity will not result in a measurable increase in performance.
How long is Audeze warranty?
Audeze has a 3-year warranty on drivers. If any driver fails within that period we replace them for free and extend the warranty on the drivers by 3 more years from the date of replacement. The original warranty on the LCD-3s was for 1 year and that was extended to 3 years.
What is a headphone Fazor?
Wave interference, although a larger issue for speakers than for headphones, is still a major obstacle in high-performance headphone audio. Audeze has developed a patented technology to combat this interference, which we call the “Fazor™”.
Are Planars better than dynamic?
Planar magnetic drivers have a faster and more uniform motion than dynamic which typically creates a faster transient response, and creates a different sort of physical slam than dynamic drivers. The design is also less prone to harmonic distortion.
Are planar magnetic headphones fragile?
Due to the thinness of the driver material it can be very fragile and unstable, therefore it’s important when handling planar headphones extra care is taken, especially when placing them on desks and headphone stands to eliminate any heavy impacts.
Why are planar headphones so expensive?
The thing that makes planar cans so expensive is, you guessed it, their signature magnetic field. Dynamic headphones, the kind you probably own, send an audio signal through a coiled wire.
