What is ACAS program?

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) is a software set of information security tools used for vulnerability scanning and risk assessment by agencies of the United States Department of Defense (DoD). It performs automated vulnerability scanning and device configuration assessment.

What is ACAS CBP?

The Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) Program went into effect on June 12, 2018, requiring the submission of advanced air cargo information on shipments arriving in the United States from a foreign location.

What is the difference between ACAS and HBSS?

Unlike ACAS, the HBSS solution is installed on each host (server, desktop, and laptop). HBSS is normally managed by local administrators and configured to lower intrusion risk using an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and a host firewall. Once installed, a manual security review is still required.
