What does XCOM long war add?
Long War adds a significant number of new soldier classes, abilities, weapons, armors, and usable items, and also introduces new features, including soldier fatigue and improvements to alien units over the course of the game.
Does XCOM have a time limit?
The Xcom enemy within expansion did it right by making a time limit hidden (with sound clues) for the extra “meld” reward. You could split your team and hunt for the reward, but risk trigger multiple enemies, or forfeit the reward for safe play. The player is in the control seat, not the game.

How hard is XCOM Long War?
LWR Brutal is around as hard as Long War 1.0 Impossible. LWR Impossible is really tough, unforgiving, and will sometimes feel literally Impossible. Playing Ironman is like jumping all the difficulties up another notch. It’s probably best to start out a little easier if you’ve never played LWR before.
