Both bikes have good top-end power and, aside from the 200cc power difference, the main thing I noticed as far as the powerband goes is that the CRF450R has a more linear powerband with better bottom-end and midrange. The CRF250R has a classic 250F powerband with the meat of the power being on the top-end.
