Since 1986, Passport fans have enjoyed collecting cancellation stamps from nearly every one of the 400+ National Park Service units. Passport books can be purchased onsite in most parks or online before your trip.

Today, the cancellation stamps are available at nearly all 417 National Park units and several affiliated sites, such as Shawnee National Forest. Visit the trail and get your passport stamped at either national forest offices.
How do you get national park stamps?
National Park passport stamps are found at most national park visitor centers. To get your stamp, locate the station in the visitor center, bring your passport, check that the date on the stamp is correct, and stamp away!

Why are national park stamps called cancellation?
Eastern National has described the stamps as cancellations, but this is incorrect as a cancellation is a mark that cancels the validity of a postage stamp, while these mark a record of visitation like a passport stamp and denote a place and date like a postmark and do not cancel anything.
