Jessica — Founder, Mama Rav Jessica’s love of fiber crafts, community, and organization inspired the creation of Ravelry! She knits, crochets, spins, sews, gardens, bikes, and reads voraciously. Jess lives in Massachusetts with her wife Cassidy, their two children, and her canine sidekick George.

According to the site, Ravelry makes most of its money through “yarn-related advertising.” Together those knitters have built the kind of detailed, long-running data set that prior generations of economists could only dream of.
How is Ravelry funded?
We offer pay-per-click, pay-per-impression, and flat rate advertising to companies that are related to yarn and the fiber arts. I wrote an ad serving system specifically for Ravelry – since we serve our own ads, we don’t pay any fees or commissions to anyone else.

Does Ravelry only use PayPal?
