Why did Great Big Sea break up?
As most people know, at the end of 2013 — after our 20th Anniversary tour — Sean (McCann) quit and left the band. We spent a length of time — a year or so — to find an amicable way that Bob (Hallett) and I could continue without him. We couldn’t, so we came to the realization that we didn’t want to go on like that.

The last two shows we’ve been treated to a guest appearance from Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo and Ed Robertson from Barenaked Ladies. The opening act, Fortunate Ones, are very talented in their own right. I’ll happily catch Alan any time he and the Beautiful Band are in town. It’s a joyous night out!
