What is the most comfortable Martin profile you have ever seen?
To date, the most comfortable ‘modern’ (CNC) Martin profile I’ve found is their custom-only 30’s style modified V (on an ‘03 OM-18 Custom w a 1 3/4” nut). Martin CS described this as a cross between modified low oval and modified V, but it feels and measures more like a cross of mod V and full thickness. I like a 1 11/16” nut width.

I like a 1 11/16” nut width. Certain Martin authentic models feature 1 11/16” nuts, so I want to find where these neck profiles fall in the continuum. Seems like they may be outside my comfort range in terms of shoulder.
Can you measure the neck on a Martin d-18a 1939?
I have not measured the neck on the D-18A 1939 but maybe someone here has. If you do get those measurements from the Custom Shop remember that they do not include the fretboard thickness. Fretboards on Authentics are thinner than on modern Martins, so you have to take that into account.
