Do Tau drones count as units?
A: No: Each set of drones is treated as a separate unit, in the same manner as if they had disembarked normally under their Detach ability. Drones must be set up within 3″ of the model they are disembarking from as normal.

The Tau are often seen as being a ‘good’ race, but they are not. Granted, they might be the one race that is closest to what we percieve as ‘good’, but they show now mercy or pity towards those who disagree with their philosophy, & the ‘choice’ they give to other races is no real choice at all.

Other than that, Tau keep their 8th Edition limitation that each detachment can only contain one COMMANDER, with the exception of Farsight Enclaves, who can have two COMMANDERs per detachment at the cost of not being able to bring Ethereals.
