Never overwhelming, and cut seamlessly into the main scenes, much like memories pop into our heads in real life. Even though this miniseries is 20 years old, it doesn’t seem dated to me. The absence of cell phones, the tube televisions–it barely made The Corner a period piece at all. I guess you could say it’s timeless.
