What does 130 MSI mean in golf shafts?

The ROGUE®™ White 130 M.S.I. pushes the limits of performance with the use of extremely high modulus, 130 M.S.I. Graphitic Carbon Fibers to provide the ultimate in performance from a Mid Launch, Low Spin profile.

What is MSI golf?

Here is where we get to one of the many shaft characteristics know as MSI (million pounds per square inch). Typically shafts have an MSI of 35 or lower (which most of the cheap “Made-For” shafts fall in and are made from basically the cheap pre-peg material).

What is the torque on the Aldila Voodoo shafts?

It has a corkscrew rib on the inside of the shaft. It has a simple Flexural Signature, consistently softer down the shaft to 18” where it evenly gains stiffness toward the tip. The torque ranges from 4.5 in the 60R to 3.2 in the 70X shafts. The Aldila Voodoo profiles are consistent from weight to weight and flex to flex.

What makes the Aldila voodoo so special?

The real “magic” of the VooDoo is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. “Our S-core Technology dramatically stabilizes the shaft’s cross-section through the use of an internal carbon-fiber rib system,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering.

Are Aldila shafts any good?

This shaft is a quantum leap better than the previous generation of Aldila shafts, which while they were no slouches were never going to be troubling the likes of Matrix, Mitsubishi Rayon or Fujikura for the smoothest shaft award.

Is the Voodoo shaft the right choice for You?

While versatile might be an odd description for a shaft, the VooDoo can be used by both those with smooth swings and those with a more aggressive transition. The shaft is easy enough to use without having to swing out of your shoes but is also great at higher speeds as it is incredibly resistant to being overpowered.
