Originally built as a coal plant in 1954, Connah’s Quay now functions as a 1500 MW gas-fired power plant. In 2021 the project applied for 750 MW existing generation (units 3 and 4, 375 MW each) in the T-4 Capacity Market 2024-2025 auction, and they were listed in the final results.
