What is deal like to visit?

Deal town centre is home to picturesque and pastel-coloured dwellings, nestled amongst the cobbles of its winding streets. Quaint fishermen’s cottages rub shoulders with well-preserved Georgian town houses, making Middle Street a must-visit. Plus, there are some great buys to be found in Deal town centre’s shops!

My wife and I stayed at the lovely Royal Hotel and enjoyed a long stroll on the charming beach. To the left leaving the hotel is a beautiful, long stretch of clean sand with a promenade aside.

Located on the south Kent coast between Ramsgate and Dover, Deal is a worthy contender for being one of the coolest beach towns in the county. Think colourful buildings, seafront promenade, lots of indie shops, antique stores and handsome Georgian properties in the sought after conservation area.

Are the cliffs of Dover worth seeing?

Visiting the White Cliffs of Dover from London will not disappoint. These incredible iconic cliffs are worth the visit alone. If you’re able to visit Dover Castle as well, then I’d highly recommend including it on your day trip.

Which is better deal or Whitstable?

Whitstable is more historic and therefore interesting. Deal on the south coast is also nice. Whitstable and Herne Bay couldn’t be more different, so it depends what type of town you’re looking for. Both have popular events coming up in July & August so you might want to check what’s on when you plan to travel.
