What is MTB bash guard?
Bash guards are used on gravity and trail bikes to prevent rocks, logs and other trail or racetrack obstacles from damaging chainrings. They usually consist of circular discs attached to the chainset in place of the large chainring, and are built of tough aluminium or polycarbonate that can absorb impacts.

What size bash guard do I need?
You can use any size bash you want, it should at least be the same size as the largest ring you plan on using. You can use a 36 tooth bash on a 32 tooth chainring if you want. Keeping them the same gives a cleaner look, and it’s really not necessary to go larger than the ring your running.
