Is Epilim used for migraines?

Sodium valproate, (for example sold as Valpro and Epilim) a sodium-blocking medication commonly used as anti-seizure treatment has been shown to reduce the frequency and severity of chronic migraine pain.

Epilim Syrup contains a medicine called sodium valproate. This belongs to a group of medicines called anti-convulsants or anti-epileptic agents. It works by helping to calm the brain down. Epilim Syrup is used to treat epilepsy (fits) in adults and children.
