What score do you need to pass the Navle?

425
What is the passing score? NAVLE scores are expressed on a scale where the passing point is set at 425. If the licensing board requests the score to be reported on another scale (where 70 or 75 is passing) that will be done, with the scaled pass point of 425 equivalent to different local scores.

Is Navle accepted in UK?

The NAVLE is open to any UK vet student or graduate, with most choosing to take it in their final year or shortly after they graduate.

What does passing the Navle mean?

Passing the examination is required to practice veterinary medicine in the US and Canada. The NAVLE is designed to test the knowledge of a veterinarian entering into their first year of practice. This is an important tidbit.

Do you need the Navle to work in Canada?

The North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE), administered by the ICVA since 2000, is a requirement for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in all licensing jurisdictions in the US and Canada.

Does Navle expire?

Certification remains valid indefinitely. A PAVE certificate is not a license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. All PAVE candidates must meet state licensing requirements and pass the North American Veterinary Licensure Exam (NAVLE®).

Who can take Navle?

The NAVLE is only administered to graduates of AVMA accredited veterinary schools, senior students at AVMA accredited schools, or foreign graduates enrolled or have completed either the ECFVG or PAVE program. If enrolled, you must complete step 3 of your program to be eligible to take the NAVLE.

What happens after you pass the Navle?

Once the Board receives your NAVLE, CSBE, and VLE (if applicable) passing scores, you will be notified by the Board that you are eligible to apply for your initial license.

Is becoming a vet harder than a Doctor?

Many of the prerequisites for these schools are similar because biology and chemistry are needed in the veterinary and medical fields. Though aspiring med students have to take the MCAT before applying to medical school, most people agree that vet school is harder than medical school.
