A common struggle for Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) is overthinking. “My brain won’t stop,” or, “I can’t turn it off!” or “I’m overanalyzing again” are common refrains.

Can highly sensitive person be cured?

How many times can HSP recur?

In most patients, HSP has an excellent prognosis with spontaneous resolution of symptoms. Relapses occur in about one third of patients, after an interval of 4 months to 1 year from the initial presentation (18).

What is HSP virus?

HSP is an autoimmune disease that is often triggered by an upper respiratory infection. Symptoms include a rash caused by bleeding under the skin, arthritis, belly pain, and kidney disease. Most children recover fully. But some children may have kidney problems.

Is HSP permanent?

Most of the time, HSP improves and goes away completely within a month. Sometimes HSP relapses; this is more common when a child’s kidneys are involved. If HSP does come back, it is usually less severe than the first time.

Does the Covid vaccine affect HSP?

HSP has previously been reported following immunization with various vaccines, mostly within 12 weeks post vaccination [3]. The aim of this report is to highlight a possible association between COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer‐BioNTech BNT16B2b2 mRNA vaccine) and first onset of HSP in a previously well adult.

Can HSP come back?

HSP occasionally comes back, usually within a few months, and may need further treatment. A few children have long-term problems, especially when their kidneys are affected. They will need to be monitored and may need specialist treatment.
