How do you rehab an MPFL?

Basic exercises can begin including straight leg raises in all four planes, ankle isotonic strengthening in all planes, heel slides, quadriceps, hamstring and gluteal sets and eventually isotonic hamstring curls. Once full weight bearing is achieved without issues, closed kinetic chain exercises can begin.
