We do not allow camping or overnight stays in the forest or any of the car parks in Dodd Wood Opposite the car park is the entrance to Mirehouse.

The cafe is open daily for takeaway only 10am – 4.30pm. Toilet facilities are open. Dodd Wood is a fantastic place to get some stunning views of the northern Lake District. The network of walking trails will take you deep into the woodland and walk to the top of Dodd Summit for views across the fells.

There is a Forestry Commission Pay and Display Car Park with toilets and a cafe at Dodd Wood. You can also take the X5 bus or 554 bus from Keswick. You could easily spend a full day out at Dodd Wood. In addition to the walking trails the Forestry Commission have created special viewpoints to watch the Ospreys during the season (April to August).
