How has PMLD adapted to Enable PE to be accessible?
To enable PE to be accessible for all pupils including PMLD students many activities and sports are adapted, the MOVE programme (See MOVE policy) has been adopted, A Rebound Therapy program is in place across the school and the School pool is in constant use for hydrotherapy sessions.
What are some examples of locomotor activities for kids?
We end up progressing this activity to include walking backwards, shuffling, galloping, hopping, jumping, and skipping. To start the round, give your students a locomotor movement for example skipping. When the music starts, students will skip to the out-of-bounds line on the opposite side and will touch it with their foot.
