Is the Carcano a good rifle?

Unless your Carcano shoots the 0.264″ bullets well, or you found some rare 0.268″ soft points to reload with, I’d strongly recommend against hunting with a Carcano. You may need to modify the sights, the safety is terrible for hunting, and there are just much better new production hunting rifles.

What is a Porsche Mezger engine?

When Porsche fans talk about the ‘Mezger engine’, they’re usually referring to the water-cooled flat-six developed for the 996 and 997-era 911 GT3, GT2 and Turbo. Though these cars came out years after Mezger retired, this engine can trace its roots right the way back to his race-winning flat-sixes of the Seventies.

Which stylus for the M91?

The M91 is very similar if not the same as the M75. (mechanically different, M75 styli fit the M91 with a gap between body and stylus grip, M 91 styli have to be grinded down to fit, the brass tube is the same) The M91 on the photo here is the `all you can eat`version with no plastic body. Almost any stylus with the same brass tube can be fitted.

Is the Yamaha M91E a good cartridge?

A very competitive cartridge – plays well with anything. The M91E is not the best cartridge by any means. It may, however, be the best value of its era and is still capable of besting many newer and more costly cartridges. This has that classic Shure sound – a tad warm but highly detailed sound with excellent tracking ability.

What is the difference between the Shure M75 and the M91?

The Shure M75 and the M91 are very similar cartridges. They share the same generator, so if it weren’t for cosmetic differences the styli would be intercheageable. Since NOS styli are currently almost impossible to find, these differences don’t really matter anymore.

Is the Shure m91ed with JICO worth it?

The M91ED with Jico is not quite so refined as the AT-150MLX: highs are not quite as sweet, some frequencies are a little hot, and while bass and midrange sound better to me than with other Shure cartridges like the M97xE and even the V15xVR, there is not quite the balance that most AT cartridges provide. Treble is more forward.
