Can MTB be used for long rides?

Mountain bikes are good for long rides in off-road areas; you can reach great distances without worrying about durability and function. However, if you’re using mountain bikes on pavement, you may find yourself pedaling harder yet you are not going much faster.

Can I ride a mountain bike on pavement?

You can ride your mountain bike on pavement. Just keep in mind that it will be harder to pedal (i.e. slower), and the pavement is hard on traditional knobby mountain bike tires.

How many miles before you change mountain bike tires?

On average MTB tires should at least be able to last 3200 to 8000 miles. That’s quite a difference but if you ride sharp mountain rocks they might even go below. The lifespan of your tires depends on where and how often you ride. If you only ride trails your tires will last longer then when you’re riding on roads.

Is the 2007 Specialized Rockhopper M4 a good bike?

The Rockhopper is one of Specialized’s longest-running models, but the 2007 bike is all-new with clean lines, an impressive spec and a sharp and rapid ride. The new M4 frame looks as good as any top-line race bike.

Is the Rockhopper a good value speed bike?

The Rockhopper is a great-value speed bike. Race tyres underline the sharp-kicking speed of the bike – but soon give out in the mud. Steve Behr©.

What is the rockhopper ride like?

While there are lots of curves in the Rockhopper frame, the ride itself is straight down the line. Although the fork, tyres, saddle and frame all only feel slightly sharp, the overall effect is a distinctly direct ride. Kick down the power and the Rockhopper really cracks forward hard, creating a fast, big ring-greedy character.

Why choose Shimano specialized wheels?

Shimano rear hubs are a byword for longevity and Specialized front hubs have never disgraced themselves either. The Alex rims under Specialized stickers stayed true and tight, and the dinky-tread Specialized Fast Trak tyres add easy speed and lightweight acceleration.
