if anything increase the resources and time it costs to make mines, so they are more “late game” but when you get a mine in full swing, especially a coal mine, it should set you on the path for a major industrial push even a revolution. but its yield is simply not there at all.

A Quarry is used to cut stone from the ground. A quarry needs to be placed in a large flat area. Once built, stonecutters will work in the quarry, digging it deeper and deeper while producing stone. Quarries take more work to produce stone than collecting it from the landscape.

Quarries/mines are great when you’ve hit a very high population and have the labor to spare and not much else to do with them. If you focus on producing some tradeble goods in large volume such as coats, steel tools, firewood etc… you can trade for stones as they are only required for building.

If you focus on producing some tradeble goods in large volume such as coats, steel tools, firewood etc… you can trade for stones as they are only required for building. I do agree that quarries are a pain.
