Are Norwood looms still made?
All production ceased in 1996 when the Norwood name was sold to Webs and production moved overseas. Ash or Birch became the material of choice. So, if you come across a Norwood loom made of cherry, you know it predates 1996.

Well, there is no straightforward answer. The truth is, weaving is hard, but it is also easy. The simplicities and difficulties of weaving balance out into an art that is both meditative and challenging; it is relaxing, occasionally boring, but somehow always interesting.
How long can you record for on loom?
If you’re a Loom Starter user, your video length can be up to 5 minutes. If you’re an Education user, it can be up to 45 minutes. If you’re a Business or Enterprise user, your video will keep recording for up to 6 hours.
Why is loom so slow?
Restart your device. Close any unused tabs or apps running in the background. Check your computer’s memory – if your device is low on RAM this can affect Loom’s transcoding speed. Check your battery level – we recommend recording when you’re plugged into a power source.
Do I need a loom?
The quick answer is that you don’t ever have to get a floor loom to weave what you want. Speaking in broad brushstrokes, there is almost no structure or project you can’t weave on your rigid-heddle loom. It all depends on how you want to approach the work.
How do I choose a loom?
A floor loom should be your choice if you have enough space. It is heavier and stronger, works much faster than a table loom, offers more possibilities and gives a better shed because of its greater depth. Among floor looms some are light and can be folded (Jack types), others are heavier and take more space.
Is Loom really free?
Loom Starter plans are always free. Loom Business is available for $10/mo per Creator, or $8/mo annually, with up to 50 users in free Creator Lite roles. Enterprise is available at a custom rate depending on volume.
Are looms private?
We get it all the time. The only person who has access to the videos you record are you. You would have to explicitly share your videos with an individual for them to find and watch any video you record.
