How is the food at UCR?
Food and dining is really good at UCR, especially for those who dorm. There are good vegetarian options that you wouldn’t expect to find on a college campus, and overall something from all the categories so that you don’t get bored eating the same thing every day.
Does UCR have a cafeteria?
We pride ourselves in providing a daily wide variety of food options in a cook-to-order and just-in-time format. The Dining staff are family-oriented and provide a friendly, interactive experience for our students, staff, faculty and visitors.
Do meal swipes carry over UCR?
Unused Dining Dollars roll over to the next quarter during the contract period, but must be used by the end of the academic year. They do NOT carry over to the summer or next year, and are non-transferable. Dining Plans may only be changed during the first two weeks of the academic year.
Where are dining dollars accepted UCR?
By adding Bear Bucks, R’Blocks and/or Dining Dollars (for those with meal plans), the R’Card can be used for payment at: The UCR Bookstore. Campus dining venues. Pepsi vending machines.
Can you change your meal plan UCR?
Dining Plan Changes The Dining Plan selected is for the entire academic year. Changes are permitted during the first two weeks of the academic year only. A Dining Plan Change Request Form needs to be completed and all instructions on documentation need to be followed.

NOTE: SRC principal members may sponsor up to two guests per day. Member and guests (18 or over with a valid photo ID) must both be present at time of purchase.
Which dorm is best at UCR?
Dundee
The best dorm at UC Riverside is undoubtedly Dundee. The facilities at Dundee are all very new, and the furniture and lounges are all much more modern than the other residence halls. The second-best dorm, in my opinion, is a tie between Pentland and Lothian, depending on your living preferences.
Does UCR have communal bathrooms?
It’s all in one general area, but the showers and restrooms are spaced apart by the locker and sink area. The showers are completely private and the bathrooms resemble the type that would be found in a movie theater.

Make sure to try Lothian’s weekend brunch featuring a variety of offerings such as rotisserie ham, roast beef, eggs Benedict, enchiladas, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, country-style potatoes, sausage, pastries, biscuits and gravy, waffles and an omelet bar!
