What is transcranial attenuation?

Transcranial attenuation (TA) (or interaural attenuation) in BC is defined as the frequency dependent reduction in BC hearing sensitivity between contralateral and ipsilateral stimulation, when stimulation position is at corresponding positions of the two sides of the skull.
