When a person’s poop is orange, it could be because they have consumed excess beta-carotene, an orange pigment found in fruits and vegetables. Foods that are high in beta-carotene include: carrots.

Instead, eat more cooling and astringent foods like legumes and barley to slow things down and help bind the stool. Demulcent foods like oatmeal are soothing to irritated intestines.
